Whenever I try to quit blogging, I think of the line from the Godfather III, “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!”

The blog was boring. Waah Waah life is so hard. I live in New York and make a good living and go out all the time. Boo-hoo. So I stopped and tried writing about food and then had a brief stint writing a style blog for petite people. (Don’t ask.)

But then I got some emails from people saying they missed the old blog. One male reader, whom I’ve never met, wrote: PS. I miss the Jinius. I liked it when you wrote about yourself. Sorry not intending for that to sound so creepy.

It’s funny that some of the emails have been from guys. Um, hello, do you have any hot friends? Of course I am just kidding. Do you have any hot friends who are also smart and funny?

Why did people want to read this? For the drunk, stumbling stories? The fumbles with romance? The schadenfreude? If that’s the case then you people are sadists! But then it hit me. Silly Jinius it’s not about you. It’s about them.

I think we all want to know that we are the same. That we’re not just anyone in a small town but someone. And of course, let’s not forget, it’s because I am very irresistible.

But seriously, thanks for the emails and the encouragement. I hope you’ll like the new blog and keep reading. And if you don’t like it, well, you get what you pay for. Which is nothing. So just be grateful I’m not charging you.
