I’m sure most of you have seen the Tina Fey as Sarah Palin skit on SNL. But Palin’s interview with Charlie Gibson is much more hilarious. It’s funny in that “this is so horrible it’s hilarious” kinda way.
Palin fumbles on the whole Bush doctrine question. I would too but I’m not trying to become Vice President of the United States and second in line for Commander in Chief!!! I mean, if Palin freezes in the presence of a jovial morning talk show host, how will she hold up in the international arena?
I could also see how she would be confused because it’s a damn confusing policy. She mistakes the Bush doctrine with the notion of pre-emptive strikes. But a Bush doctrine calls for aggressive PREVENTATIVE strike. So you attack even in the absence of an imminent threat. It’s like preventing a pre-emptive strike. It’s very confucius.

It’s the difference between self-defense and beating a guy up because he looked at you funny.
Admittedly, I didn’t understand what Charlie meant by the question. But then again, I’m not running for VP.
