indie bloggers
Posted by thejinius under writing exercise
I’m over on indie bloggers today. It’s a great site that promotes the writing of bloggers and reminds us of what blogging used to be like before giants like Gawker media and HuffPo colonized the web (but if they weren’t around what would I read at work?) Seems that bloggers are yearning for a return to narrative and strong content and sites like Indiebloggers are bringing that back. So yay!
And you guys should definitely contribute. You don’t even have to be a blogger and you can submit anonymously. So if there’s any writing you’ve been working on and have been reluctant to divulge the details of your private life on the interweb– unlike some people *cough*–then here is your chance.

i loved your piece. just read it at work and sigh. tears? at my office desk? i’m afraid to say it’s not the first time. (i too have far too much estrogen in my system. i like to call it “compassion”.)
i could identify with so much (hmm! but why? because i too am the oldest? because i also had that peculiar sense of my parents’ age when i was home over the holidays?). i haven’t written about my parents in some time on my blog, but oh have i.
i’m eager to check out more of your blog. like immediately. i’m already colored intrigued by your categories and the titles of recent posts (i’m pretty i overuse the word schadenfreude always. my friends and i even have a series of emails we send back and forth, subject line: schadenfreude!!!!111!!!oneone!one.)
i’m realizing now that this comment is what emails are for…
hope you don’t mind this babbling long comment too terribly. and again, great post at IB!
